Approximately twenty-five thousand homes in Queensland's southeast woke up without power on Monday morning after intense storm systems impacted the region, bringing powerful gusts reaching over 100 km/h.
Massive Frozen Precipitation and Broad Impact
Homeowners observed large ice chunks measuring up to seven centimeters in some areas. Meteorological experts confirmed that multiple regions across Queensland had been impacted by substantial ice precipitation.

Health officials cautioned that there was an increased chance of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the state's northern country region, specifically given the ongoing climate situation.
